Day 31 of Heart Cycle Challenge

It was a great day to finish off my Cycle Challenge. Blue sky and very little wind, enabled me to finish off with a ride around town to take in some of the sights. It has been a great month of bike riding and I have been able to raise $723 for the Heart Foundation, while completing 383Km. Thanks to all of the people who supported me during the past month.

Day 30 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Completed 10km on the exercise bike.

Day 29 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Back to where it all began at the start of the month with a ride to the Breakwater and back along the Rail Trail. Another 21 km to add to the total which is now 346km.

Day 28 of Heart Cycle Challenge

I was out on the road again today to ride another 20km.

Day 27 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Just clocked up another 10km on the exercise bike

Day 26 of Heart Cycle Challenge

On the exercise bike again for 10km

Day 25 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Managed 8km on the exercise bike today.

Days 23 & 24 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Day 23 was a rest day in preparation to tackle the Rail Trail on Day 24. I set out from home to ride the Rail Trail to Koroit on Day 24. Made it to the old Koroit Railway Station, before then riding back home. I managed to ride 32km today.

Day 22 of Heart Cycle Challenge

I was able to get out on the Russell's Creek Trail today and managed to get 18km done.

Day 21 of Heart Cycle Challenge

I was restricted to the exercise bike again today, but managed to ride another 12km.

Day 20 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Only able to complete 8km on the exercise bike today.

Day 19 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Day 19 I was back on the road again around the city. Mainly on the Russell's Creek Trail, which was flooded in parts, to clock up another 22km.

Days 17 &18 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Day 17 was a rest day as the body needed to recover. Day 18 was on the exercise bike for another 10km.

Day 16 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Made the most of the good weather to check out some the trails around Warrnambool today. Nice ride along the Russell's Creek trail with 20km clocked up.

Day 15 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Another quiet day on the exercise bike today with 10km done.

Day 14 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Another wet day meant I was on the exercise bike again for another 10km

Day 13 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Back out on the roads today and managed to check out a new path along the river. It ended up being very wet for some of the way but still managed to ride 11.3km

Day 12 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Another day on the exercise bike riding 10km.

Day 11 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Another quiet day with 7km on the exercise bike. I have now reached my first goal of 116km, but I will push ahead to the next goal of 232km.

Day 10 of Heart Cycle Challenge

A quiet day today as we were very busy, but still managed to sneak in another 5km on the exercise bike.

Day 9 of Heart Cycle Challenge

A very wet day here so it was a good excuse to stay inside and use the exercise bike. I managed to ride another 10km indoors.

Day 6-8 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Days 6 & 7 were rest days to let the body recover. Day 8 was back on the Bike and out on the local streets again. A good way to get back on saddle with a ride around the flat roads, but did encounter rain on the way home.

Day 5 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Made the most of the sunshine today before the rain sets in again. I had a ride around the city today and made it from home to the Racecourse and back.

Day 4 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Stuck inside today with another ordinary day of weather. Continued to ride the exercise bike and added another 10km.

Day 3 of Heart Cycle Challenge

A cold and wet day had me confined to the exercise bike at home today. Clocked up another 10km towards my goal.

Day 2 of Heart Cycle Challenge

Another sunny day, but with a strong northerly wind. I headed north towards Koroit, but could only make it to Illowa (where the railway station used to be). I followed the Rail Trail and clocked up another 20km.

Day 1 of Heart Cycle Challenge

It was a great weather day to start the Heart Foundation Cycle Challenge for the month of August. I managed to make the most of the day and rode from home to the breakwater and back. A total of 21 Km travelled for the first day.

I’m taking on Cycle for Heart

I’m jumping on the bike this month and setting myself a challenge to raise money for the Heart Foundation by riding at least 116 km. If you can, I’d really appreciate your support. Every bit helps.
