Riding for Heart: My Story

Welcome to my Cycle for Heart fundraising page!

For the past seven years, cycling has been a central part of my life. Whether I’m tackling rugged trails on my mountain bike or pushing through the kilometres on the road, being on two wheels is where I feel most alive. Cycling isn't just a hobby for me, it’s a passion, and above all, it’s a cornerstone of my cardiovascular health.

As many know, back in February 2025, my life took an unexpected turn when I suffered a heart attack. It was a stark reminder of how precious, and fragile, our heart health truly is. But looking back, I know in my heart (pun intended!) that the years of endurance, strength, and cardiovascular fitness built up on the bike played a massive role in saving my life. Cycling didn't just give me an outlet; it gave me the resilience to get through one of my toughest challenges.

To be able to take something I am so deeply passionate about and channel it toward a cause that hits so close to home means the absolute world to me. Raising awareness and support for heart health isn't just important, it's personal.

I’m riding to support life-saving heart research and education so that others can get the second chance I was blessed with.
