On the 6th September 2017 Jeff Wall passed away suddenly. 9 days earlier he was out for his daily run when he collapsed. He was rushed to Geelong hospital, operated on but the outcome wasn't the one we hoped and prayed for. Those that knew Jeff knew how fit he was; at the young age of 61 he ran daily, went to the gym, surfed, hiked and enjoyed golfing.
A past player at North Shore FC, and past player/ life member of Ocean Grove FC he continued to lead a healthy lifestyle. Jeff was a family man and always community focused.
He played golf every Saturday morning with his mates - this gave them their opportunity to catch up and check in on each other. Following his death, a small group of his mates got together to play golf, held a small raffle and all funds raised were donated to The Heart Foundation in Jeff’s honour. 
The golf day has gained momentum with numbers growing each year and the golf day is becoming a great fundraising event for the Heart Foundation, in particular Heart health. Since 2019 we have been fortunate to raise over $50,000 for the National Heart Foundation.

We look forward to this years event where we will come together to raise much needed funds, and have a cleansing ale in memory of our dear friend Jeff.
