I’ve taken on a challenge to Do it for Heart!

Heart disease remains Australia’s biggest killer, claiming 48 lives every day.

My name is Cassie, I am 43 years old, a mother of 5, and an identical twin. While growing up i was and still am  incredibly close to my mum (Jenny) and twin sister (kristy). Through many ups and downs in my life they both have been my biggest supporters, always there cheering me on, no matter what. Every midnight call, text, and every tear they were there, ready to pick up the pieces and help put them back together. Eighteen years ago we lost our dad due to a sudden heart attack in his early fourty's. As life went on my grandma (my mum's mum) suddenly become ill, we soon found out it was due to incurable heart disease, this took her life slowly, over years she suffered. Her brother passed away 2 weeks before she did with the same disease. I have had many aunty's and uncle's diagnosed with the same disease. I remember the Tuesday afternoon I received the call to be told my mum was in hospital with yes, the same disease. This was a huge blow and I have had to watch her quality of life decline. Knowing there is nothing I can do to take it away or fix it is torture. The biggest shock was to come when I received the call to say my twin sister is now dealing with herat disease, and all I can do is watch. I cant imagine my life without either of them, my biggest supporters,  my best friends. I cant take it away, I cant fix it, but I am asking with all my heart for you to help me raise funds in hope of one day finding a cure for the many families who are in need of a miracle.
