I’ve taken on a challenge to Do it for Heart!

I’m passionate about saving Australian Hearts and I need your help to create change. That’s why I’m fundraising for the Heart Foundation – and I hope you’ll support me in this.

Heart disease remains Australia’s biggest killer, claiming 48 lives every day. Your donation will help the Heart Foundation to transform Australia’s heart health by:

  • Funding life-changing heart research

  • Supporting health professionals working to prevent, diagnose and treat heart disease

  • Providing heart-healthy programs and resources for everyday Australians.

Please make a donation today, click the donate button. Every donation, big or small will help me get closer to my goal.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you’ll get a receipt by email as soon as you make your donation

Thank you for your support.

Several years ago when I used to work in Cardiac Rehab I had a client who collapsed during the Bridge to Brisbane event and had a cardiac arrest, thankfully due to prompt CPR and access to a defibrillator he was one of the very few who survived a community cardiac arrest. When he completed Cardiac Rehab I set myself the challenge to complete B2B and raise funds for the Heart Foundation, however, several barriers prevented me from doing it in previous years - hip injury, working and self doubt but now is the time to challenge myself. I worked closely with the Heart Foundation when I used to work in Cardiac Rehab and have seen the amazing work they do. My Dad also had to have major heart surgery a few years ago and has made a fantastic recovery, but research and resources from the Heart Foundation have helped with this.

I walk regularly including parkrun and I even did a 15k trail walk earlier this year so walking 10k for B2B would not be much of a challenge and I feel if I am going to ask for sponsorship then I need to challenge myself and push myself out of my comfort zone. I would like to complete the 10k in under 1 hour 30 minutes which means I will have to run some of it! I am not a runner!! I will have to train for this and push myself so I would be very grateful for any donations and make the training worthwhile!! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️❤️
