Sam Muscat – Plumber, Heart Survivor & Ultra Cyclist
Nine years ago, I was a regular Melbourne plumber who loved a beer with mates. Then myocarditis nearly killed me.
I woke up in The Alfred ICU after four days on life support. Doctors had already called my family to say goodbye.
Now I’m training for my third 4,000km unsupported ultra-race across Europe and I’m pushing harder than ever.
And because the challenge is bigger, the goal is too: I’m raising $25,000 for life-saving heart research.
Why I’m fundraising:
Heart disease doesn’t care if you’re a tradie, CEO, or couch potato
The Heart Foundation’s research helped save my life — now I want to help save others
Every $50 helps fund one hour of life-changing heart research
I’m proof that an ordinary bloke can do extraordinary things with a second chance.
If you can donate, share, or support in any way — it genuinely means the world.
