10km milestone
Day 3 and already hit the 10km milestone! Only 50km left to go!Hi everyone! I’m Zoe and I’ve taken on a challenge to Do it for Heart in May! I’m challenging myself to walk 60km in May to raise funds for the Heart Foundation.
Heart health is so important because heart disease is a silent killer and can claim up to 48 lives per day. It is the biggest killer In Australia.
I have seen first hand the problems too much sugar, drinking too much alcohol or not exercising can have on the body. The reality is that many people get too busy in their lives to cut back on sweets or get outside and go for a walk. Believe me I’m guilty of that myself. I decided it was time to jump into gear and take the leap and do some good for not only my health but the health of 1000s of Australians too.
