The last blog for this Challenge

I'm so proud of myself achieving the goals each day this month for the challenge that i set my self in attempts to show Karll I'm with him all the way(walk every day this month). I didn't go straight into doing this without getting Karll's permission as this is his story. I told him what I wanted to do for him & that this then benefits the Heart Foundation Charity & he was on board. We also discussed how this will then help open up this hard conversation  with family, friends & workmates. I want to thank each & every one of you who showed me your support with doing this challenge as some days were harder then others, mostly because of these messed up hips of mine but i got through it. Now most importantly to all the generous people who donated you trully have beautiful souls Karll has felt the kindness you have all shown him & we both thank you all, no words can really say how much so thank you thank you. The last walk was in our favourite place to walk, yep at the berrinba wetlands, it was cold & wet, we were lucky at the time tho as the rain stopped enough that we didn't even need to use our umbrella's😁. That shall not  be our last walk as this challenge actual motivated us both to want to keep walking. Just a heads up you still have time to get  donations in if your wanting to still show support, it will be open until midnight tonight. Again thank you thank you all. Link below is the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll, Team Karbel page. I will let everyone know tomorrow what i raised for the Heart Foundation & how many kilometres i did for the challenge. Sending much love out to all.

Tomorrow is the last day with my walking challenge for the Heart Foundation - Doing it for Karll. I kindly ask if you're still wanting to support me with this challenge but haven't as of yet with donations that you get them in as soon as possible pretty please. Again, to those who have donated your truly wonderful Kind people & I appreciate you more then you know, again i truly thank you. Today's walk was in the Wetlands early this morning in the cold weather, i think i was the only one wearing a sun hat, everyone else had a beanie on or nothing at all. I timed it good with going for my walk as it started raining a few hrs later 😁.
Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. I hit the path of Tygum Park this morning in the little chilling weather, I walked all the way around & as I did, I had seen 2 birds sitting up on the tree logs, so I took photos. It was nice hearing all the ducks, birds and geese this morning😁. I haven't been to that park since our boys were teenagers as we use to go quite a bit back then.
Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. Another walk in the Wetlands but today wasn't as quiet as usual as the local council were out doing tidy ups but it did get quieter as I got to the other side 😁. I loved to see that our council have done this program with the recycling of cans/bottles, you can leave you're can/bottles & people can choose to take it to add to their recycling or leave it for the council, it's such an awesome idea. 3 more days left in completing my challenge it's gone fast. Again, thank you to all who have supported me in this challenge & shown support with your kind donations, truly you are such wonderful people with kind Hearts.
Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. I hit the walking path of the wetlands then after that beautiful walk I went to get some craft stuff as I'm going to attempt a new craft. Not long now until I finish up my challenge, please if you can support me before my challenge finishes id muchly appreciate you.

The donation boxs are filling up. Looking forward to tomorrow's walk 😀 im actually finding its really helping me mentally.

Today's adventure walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. We hit the walk ways of the Wetland's once again, today we seen a Kookaburra up in the high tops of the trees & as i zoomed in to take a photo he flew away, we seen 2 lizards on a log in the water & I seen this rock, i thought it was cute with the plant growing on top & also that it kinda looks like a crocodile head.

Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. I did my steps today in a different way rather than an actual walk walk, I got my steps in whilst helping out my best friend with hosting her Son's & his Girlfriends Baby Shower 🥰 I put together some yummy platters. I did have intentions to go for an afternoon walk but I came home with a slight headache that turned into a migraine, I'm starting to feel better than I did earlier😁 I think maybe I had a bit much fruit & the natural sugar in them set off my headache "Oopsy"😆.

22/5 walking in the wetlands

Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. I went to my favourite place the Wetland's i walked that by myself, it was beautiful today as so many butterflies were flying around me, it was impossible to get a photo, but I managed to get a photo of 1 that landed. 4.17km done today

Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. I went out 1st thing this morning did a small walk. Karll came home just after 11.30am as he had a hospital appointment with the Nurse Practitioner for Cardiology at the day therapy clinic. It was my lucky with the lift today as it was out of order so i had no choice but to do the steep stairs with Karll's assistance. When we got back home I decided i should really wash my car as it badly needed it & then I was looking at Karll's Work car & I figured I'd wash that as well saves Karll having to do it. The mail today was all for Karll 😞 (((hugs for my man))) 4 envelopes all for the Heart failure clinic/services.

Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. I decided I'd walk a section of my old walk that I use to do to get to School & back home(only a section of it) i was down at Scrubby Creek & man do I not miss that hill near the bridge yes for a person with hip issues thats a HILL 😂, i wasn't going to do it but i found a stick to help me out if I needed it😆. I can say this walk is not a quite walk like the wetlands as all you can hear is cars & trucks going past as the highway is just there. It's not really my kinda area I like walking in as it's just too noise for my liking. One good thing was bringing back memories, I remember holding hands walking home with Karll & the days Karll wasn't walking with me back home he would give me his Walkman to listen to so that my walk wouldn't feel as long, it use to take just over 1hr to get home & I was fit back then, i'd hate to know how long the full walk would take me now. Anyways it was nice to bring back memories.
Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. I have driven past several times now but never gone in, so today I decide I'd do my walking in a different bushland. Boronia Bushland Reserve. it was nice especially at the bridge with the running water. I didn't see much wildlife only birds but wad mainly Maggie & Crows.

18/5

Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll, i had the man himself walking with me in the beautiful sun, this was after we went out for breakfast 😁. That lizard yesterday was actually in the same spot this morning but in the water this time. I did the wetlands the longer walk 3 days in a row this week, I was going to go with the smaller track but then I was like nah I've got this but tomorrow I'll definitely not be able to do that walk again, I'll need to probably go for the walking pad & a smaller walk as the hips need to not be under too much pressure. today's walk wetlands 4,569 steps 2.89km but total walk in walking today 12,747 steps distance 8.98km

17/5/25

Today's adventure walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll was back at the wetlands but today I had our youngest Son Zak along for the walk (no photo as he doesn't like photos taken). Just a few snaps of what we had seen along our walk today. I truly was expecting to give the walking pad a workout today after hearing we meant to have all this rain, but the sun was shining so that was fantastic.

16/5/25 wetlands walk

Today's adventure in walking for The Heart Foundation - Doing it for Karll 16/5/25. Karll & I did another walk through the wetlands, we thought we may get rained on, but we came prepared with umbrellas but luckily enough no rain 😁 we also seen a wild Turkey well I think that's what it was, I did gobble gobble at it 😂.

15/5/25 todays walk

Today adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll. I decided I'd stop in at a park before heading to a friend's house. I've been to this park years ago with the boys but today was little old me walking the path with a few other random people walking their dogs. The weather wasn't full of sunshine 😔 i did get rained on a little. I see that the wet weather is going to get worse 🥺 so might need to be umbrella prepared.

14/5 out for small stroll

Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation Doing it for Karll was a small stroll through the outer walkways of the wetlands as I was by myself on today's walk & I'm not keen to walk by myself 1 for safety in the bush & 2 with my hips I never know when they may lock up so better to be seen in the open area. I thought my walk was going to be inside on the walking pad due to all the rain but then the sun came out for me so I took the opportunity whilst I could as I wasn't sure today if it would rain again after Karll got home plus, he had a telehealth appointment this arvo with the Heart Failure service. I know we got rain for the rest of this week so I'm not sure how much outside walking will take place this week, but time will tell as I may be lucky and get a bit of sunshine like today.

bels blog 13/4

Today's adventure in walking for the Heart Foundation - Doing it for Karll- I started with Josh (oldest Son) arriving at our house to then accompany me on a day out. We went on a drive to visit family at Victoria Point, that was a lovely morning with all of them. Then before heading back home, I wanted to do my walking challenge out near the water so off Josh & I went along the foreshore & down to the pier. Another beautiful setting to get some steps in.

Today's adventure in walking for the Heart foundation Doing it for Karll, It started with me myself and I, I went back to the shops to pick up a few items that I had forgotten yesterday & whilst I was doing that I happened to run into our eldest child and Partner at good old Bunnings, then I see a friend in at TK MAX  mind you I had no reason at all to walk into TK MAX but yet I did anyways and I may have picked up myself a new hat Oopsie, "but I needed that for my walking" and I shall stick to that hehe. Then later when Karll came home from work, we went to the wetlands walked side by side until I every now and then lost my balance for absolutely no reason, that's me for ya. so, it was another good day out for our walk. Thanks for being my walking buddy out at the wetlands today honey. I am proud of your efforts.
